I selected a song from Disney’s movie Lilo and Stitch. This movie is set in Hawaii and includes one big tradition that we learned originated there, Hula dancing. I chose this song to talk about because when I think about Hawaii I think about this movie since it is something that I grew up watching.  When the song begins, you hear many voices singing together. After about 30 seconds of only voices, the listener is able to hear drums come into the background while the group of voices narrows down to two and remains the primary thing that stands out. Then, eventually the rest of the singers join back in to form the group harmonies. I looked into the meaning of the words and in English the title means A Song for the Generous One. The lyrics talk about the Queen of Hawaii and all of the beautiful elements there in nature. It is praised for the native things that come out of Hawaii like the flowers and the Heavenly skies.
