I came across this song on YouTube once again and it is published by a man called Andmesh. It caught my attention because although the roots of this song are from Indonesia, it seems to have strong western influences. From the instruments used to the music video production it seems as if this could have been made in America. It is a very heartfelt song and seems to be about losing a loved one based off of the video. There are many instruments in this piece that are common in western music; you hear predominantly the piano along with a drum I believe as well but it is more in the back. I also liked the singers voice a lot in this song. This song sounds like a similar style to a John Legend or Sam Smith to me as far as the rhythm and genre, along with the piano as the main and a beat in the back which you hear a lot of in their style of music. I chose this song because I found it interesting how it seems to be a mix of western and Indonesian culture.
