The song I picked is called “God’s Menu” by the group Stray Kids. Stray kids is a Korean pop group under JYP entertainment. The group consists of 8 males with extreme talent in singing, dancing, rapping, and stage presence. I’ve listened to this group for a few years now because of the intense power they carry. Within the group there is a sub-unit, 3Racha, that composes most of their songs themselves. This gives their songs a unique feel and edge because of the different beats and rhythms they use. “God’s Menu” was released in 2020. I chose this specific song because I felt it really demonstrated the individuality of the group. The song itself can be labeled as R&B/Soul, Korean Dance, K-Pop, Hip-Hop/Rap, and Folk because of the unique style of sound the song presents.
