This song comes from Korea and is being performed at a Korean Music Festival. There are five women who are playing the Gayageum which is a stringed instrument that is plucked. There is also one male performer playing a drum. All of the performers are sitting on the ground playing and singing together. The women start to sing about a minute into the song. Within the title of the song there is the words “Namdo Minyo” which means that this a traditional folk song that has been passed down for many generations in Southwest Korea. The song is about many birds that lighten the lives of many. I chose this song because I like the way the performers are playing together and the overall tempo of the song. I also really liked the performers dresses, I just think that the bright colors are beautiful.
