This song was created by both Derek Fiechter and Brandon Fiechter, who are brothers. The song first starts really slow and calm, with a couple of instruments playing. The instruments that seemed to be playing, are the pipe bag, and plucking of a guitar. Both of the instruments are played in a slow tempo, and the plucking of the guitar is being plucked with a pause each time. At about in the beginning of the song, a very crescendo deep pitch comes in, making a great harmony with the instruments all together. It stops for a little bit, and then starts again, and repeats. Some description of the musical characteristics of this song, is that it’s a type of traditional song in Europe, like a type of fantasy in a story. The reason why I chose this example, was because of that reason. I really liked how the song sounded overall, it sounded as if it could of been used in a movie, because of the “magical” fantasy-like from the instruments. How they were being played, their tempo, and it really fits the title “Forests of Finland”. Because forests are a part of the “magic” or fantasy of (fairytale) stories. I found this song in youtube.
