This piece is an Arabic piece and it’s played by the Faran Ensemble. My First impressions of this piece are a hear a membranophone, stringed instruments, and no voice. For an aural analysis, there are two stringed instruments, the ud, and Kamantche and there is a drum included. The drum seems to be keeping a steady beat, while the strings work together. It seems that the Kamantche is the melody, while the ud accompanies it. The beat tends to stay on steady beat, but near the middle end, the ud had a solo and then eventually went back together. The reason why I chose things example is that in general I have always loved Arabic music, but I loved seeing more of the traditional side of it and learning how they play these instruments. In the ensemble, it was great hearing the instruments together and it brought me comfort.
