The song El Cóndor Pasa was first written in the early 20th century by Daniel Alomía Robles. After spending many years traveling across Peru did Daniel compose El Cóndor Pasa. He originally composed the song as an orchestral play, known as zarzuela, which is deeply rooted in the European tradition, however, the origins of his song El Cóndor Pasa are not European at all. Today there are more than 4,000 versions of the song around the world.

The thing that stood out to me from this video was the scenery, but also the siku. We learned in class that the Siku is a panflute in Peru. I really liked how the performer was playing this instrument, but also showing us some of the scenery of Peru.
