The song is a traditional Didgeridoo battle song. The purpose of the song was to lead Aboriginal peoples into battle, and to scare the enemies. The creator of this song is not listed but it can be assumed it was created by an Aboriginal tribe a long time ago. The song consists of a didgeridoo drone to start, and it is joined in by a variety of instruments. Some of these instruments include drums that have an upbeat, fierce, almost racing heartbeat pattern. Flutes of some kind also come in over the didgeridoo. Other instruments include some type of shaker and maybe some clapsticks. I chose this song because I never thought about using an instrument like a didgeridoo to strike fear into the hearts of enemies, I always thought of it as some sort of just background droning instrument. However, in this recording, the didgeridoo takes front and center and now I understand why it would be used to scare enemies.
