So about 15 years ago, I went down the rabbit hole of finding music from Ireland and Scotland since my ancestors are from there, amongst other countries. This band is by far one of my favorites, but closely followed by others like Gaelic Storm and the Dropkick Murphy’s.

Flogging Molly is a Celtic Rock band whose front man, David King is an Irish native. So their music has a lot of references to Irish history and politics from there, as well as various instrumentation. Bridget Regan, David’s wife, is frequently heard playing fiddle or penny whistle depending on the song, and there are some songs with other band members playing accordion and mandolin. This song features Bridget on the penny whistle. It is fast paced with a driving drum beat.
