This is a song that Chamber Choir is going to be performing at our Autumn Concert. It’s based on Indian ragas, which are essentially Indian scales. There’s different ragas for different occasions, like waking up, eating dinner, or even having a baby. The part that the basses and tenors are singing in the beginning is meant to represent the tabla drum sets. Meanwhile, the altos and sopranos alternate between making a weird “rrrrr” sound, which is meant to represent a tambura.
