I’ll have to refrain from my normal historical perspective given the ever-controversial nature of Israel vs Palestine but ill summarize what the song is about quickly. There have been numerous Arab Coalitions to attempt to dislodge Israel from existence due to the very polarizing “who is the rightful owner of this land”. Israel wins thanks to foreign support and the ability to mobilize nearly its entire population to defend its rather small borders. This song is much akin to most war songs. It is catchy, and since it is catchy that means it maintains a melody that can ring in the heads of soldiers on patrol. This too means that the song must be verbally spoken and can be sung in chorus with fellow soldiers for morale. It is simple, however, it both inspires the soldiery with singing praise of past triumphs as well as being easy enough to spontaneously sing. Not requiring instruments to be at full effect.
