When thinking about American music I think of jazz, rap, country and pop music. I chose this song because I do for the mostly listen to rap songs. I listen to the songs for not only the messages in the songs but the beats in the songs. Furthermore Drake is actually from Canada. He is a very popular rapper in America as well. Drake is also one of the first rappers I was introduced to. Growing up my brothers have always had a huge impact on the person I have become because they are older than me and I look up to them. This being said my brothers would play Drake’s music and we would listen to it while driving around. Like majority of the songs I have chosen these connect me to my love for music and building relationships through music. I feel as though this artist will always hold a special place in my heart.
