This song was written and performed by German artist Mark Forster. It’s a very popular song, and I think it’s one of my favorite foreign language songs. Even though a lot of the songs we’ve listened to so far this semester have been more on the “older” side of things, I still really like this song. It almost sounds like an American pop song, only sung in German. I’m a big fan of the message of this song, as some of the lyrics translate to:
