For this song share, Civilization 6 didn’t have a song from the Caribbean region. I’m thinking they didn’t add a country from this region because they wanted to focus on other bigger, more influential regions. However, I thought of a game I played in my childhood where the music sounds very reggae inspired. The music sounds reggae-inspired because of the lively, happy tune as well as the use of steel drums and maybe marimba. The game’s name is called Innkeeper. It was an Adobe Flash Player game (RIP) on the website Hooda Math. Unfortunately, it is no longer playable on Hooda Math, but other people have revived it with a bit of lower quality and a few glitches on other websites. The game is set on an island where you open up an inn with your family, and in order to get more family members to join and help out, you need to gain a certain star rating. I did a little digging and the music used in the game is called “Chee Zee Beach” by Kevin MacLeod. Kevin MacLeod makes a ton of music that is royalty-free and all available under the Creative Commons License, so I believe the person who created Innkeeper found the music and decided to use it because it fit their theme of the game.
