I chose this song because the instrumentation and production of it sounds very similar to that of popular music I listen to today. This is due to Akon, an artist on this song, having written songs with American popular artists in the past. In this song, he is collaborating with Hamsika Iyer who is an Indian singer. I found this recording on YouTube and it stuck out to me based on the music video as well. It is a huge production of Indian cultural people, dance, and dress. The purpose of this song was to be featured in a Bollywood film called Ra One. To analyze the song more in depth, the timbre of the song is bright and flashy, coming off as a party or pump-up song. This song offers a fast and regular beat and tempo. In addition, there is accenting of the voice on the drawn out notes where they are wavering their voice up and down. Lastly, there is a crescendo at the beginning of the song where the instruments come in slowly with a softer voice section, then it increases at about 40 seconds to a fuller, louder production.
