The song I selected is called “C’est La Vie” by Khaled. Khaled is an Algerian singer, musician, and songwriter, and is one of the world’s best-known Arab singers. He sings his songs in French and Arabic, therefore many people are able to listen to his music all around the world. The song title, “C’est La Vie,” means “That’s life” in English, giving a very passionate and positive perspective on life and what he has done with it.
I chose this example because I like how it is very modern. I can picture me listening to this in the future, due to the catchy tone and up-beat melody. There are no instruments that are particularly clear in this song, although it sounds like clapping is present in the background, along with the original recording.
