Out of all the Middle Eastern songs that I listened to , Byehsidouni Song by Georges Wassouf was by far my favorite. In the video I provided above of this song being performed, you can see how many musicians it truly takes to make it sound so beautiful. They have numerous string and percussion players all playing together. The song also reflects themes of love, longing, and nostalgia, which is common in Wassouf’s work. His style often blends traditional Arabic music with contemporary influences, making his songs resonate with a wide audience. Altogether, it was a great experience to learn about Wassouf and this song.
