This song has more of a modern feel to it but keeps the South Indian traditions. The words have a religious meaning, but the song is often danced to. There are two vocalists in the song. The first woman vocalist has a very low range compared to the second artist but together the voice creates harmonies. About 3 and a half minutes into the song there is a really neat instrumental break that seems to be played with some sort of string instrument that sounds more traditional but then also another strong instrument that sounds like an electric guitar. There are these little chimes consistently throughout the song keeping the beat.

I picked this song because I liked how it mixed traditional sounds and vocals along with more modernized instruments. I thought it was a cool way to show how the South Indian culture can modernize but still appreciate and represent their traditions. I also really enjoy the way the two vocalists blend. It kinda sounds like it doesn’t work but at the same time, it does and makes a unique tone for the song.
