I found this song on the Smithsonian Folkways website, it was recorded in Zambia. The language they are singing in is Nsenga. I linked the YouTube video of it to hear the full song. Something that it uses is the call and response theme that we discussed in class. I like it because sometimes it seems as though they are singing randomly, but then they all come in with the chorus and call and response theme. There aren’t any external instruments, it’s all their voices. On the album in Folkways, there are multiple versions of the Beer Song.
