The song I chose for Chapter 7 is the theme song for Ashes of Love, a Chinese drama. The guqin in this piece is exactly what I should be listening to when I need some time to relax or I’m trying so very hard to decompress. It is the only instrument in this recording and the peace it brought me even after my first listen of the song was indescribable. The slow tempo of the song and the steadiness the player uses make it an all around beautiful composition.
