I selected an Arabic style of music and dance for my Middle East song share. When playing this recording, right away, I could hear something similar sounding to a flute or another aerophone. Then, there were hand drums that entered along with body percussion (hand clapping) soon after. The video actually shows the group of people performing this and there were men and women, all were kneeling down on the ground. Multiple people were playing the same instrument. I could also see that a big part of this style was dance, as two dancers came in the beginning, then 4 later, and danced for most of the piece. There were also a couple individuals leading the voice piece. They would sing and then the group would come and join, resulting in a sort of conversational piece. It is a very uplifting, happy, enjoyable piece that I would assume is mostly used for fun and entertainment rather than for ritual based practices.
