I chose the song 3asal Ya Nas by Ruby for our Chapter 8 – Middle East song share. It caught my attention right away when listening because it had a catchy beat that I thoroughly enjoyed. Most Arabic songs are slower paced to begin and this song starts with a fairly fast, upbeat pace that I found to be unique and interesting. Ruby, the artist of this single, is an Egyptian singer-actress. While doing some research, I had found that her actual, birth name is Rania Hussein Muhammad Tawfiq. Ruby is 41 years old. She has been in a couple movies and has around 27 songs!
