This song is called Malamente and it is by a female artist from Spain named Rosalía. This is a much more contemporary/modern song, as it follows many of conventions we know from the pop music we listen to today, especially in Western Culture. Some important aspects about it are that the lyrics are Spanish and it is sung by a female voice, and it has a lowkey, almost dreamy feel to it. Something I found interesting was the heavy presence of clapping in the song. Clapping is a percussive device often used in Flamenco style music/dancing which is a very common style in Spain. Though I do not know for sure if this song and the clapping in particular was inspired by/is a callback to Flamenco, I think it is a really cool connection between the two music styles nonetheless.
