This song is a more modern take on music from Zimbabwe and its title translates to “God is good to us”.  This song has a very upbeat tone created by the rhythm made by shakers, guitars, and some sort of piano or keyboard. There isn’t much use of any traditional African instruments but the music does have that tropical feel we talked about. I believe that comes from the metallic sound of the guitar mixed with the smooth melodic sound of the piano makes you feel like you are lying on the beach. The beat of the song never speeds up or slows down from its original fast pace that is set by the shakers and other percussion instruments. The beat of this music along with the tropical tone the instruments set gives the song an overall very happy and uplifting feeling to it. 

I chose this song because I just love happy music and I wanted to find a song that gives that tropical feel. I don’t know what this song is about but it put a smile on my face and seemed inspiring. I enjoyed her voice as well it was very smooth and blended very nicely with he instruments.
