I found this song on the Smithsonian Folkways website. This piece is from the Solomon Islands in the Melanesia region. It is performed by a group of Bellonese men, led by a man named Joshua Kaipua. This song was released in 1976 and is 8 minutes and 35 seconds long. The sources of sound are men singing in a language called Rennell-Bellona, and clapping. The rhythm and clapping stays constant throughout the song. There are many examples of decrescendo in this piece as well.

One of the reasons I chose this song because I like to hear more traditional and ritualistic pieces from different regions and compare them to one another. Even though I do not understand the language this song is performed in, the rhythm makes me want to clap and sing along.
