The song that I have chosen is called “Leave Before You Love Me” by Marshmello and The Jonas Brothers. When this song first came out, I instantly fell in love with it. One of the main reasons why I love this song so much is the 80’s vibe it gives off (the guitar as well as the kick in the background). But once the chorus comes into play, that is where the true message reveals itself and it is quite powerful. I found this song on YouTube and one the things that I really admire about this song is the meaning of it. It entails the message of relationships that are not working out and once they fail, one of two will soon leave them before the other gets the chance to show affection towards their partner. I don’t know why, but the chillness of the song with the sorrowful message makes this song favorable, in my opinion. I believe that this is a good example because it shows one of the styles of American music and the way it is sung.
