Song Title: Fly Me To The Moon

Artist: Frank Sinatra

Place of Birth: Hoboken, New Jersey

Frank Sinatra can be classified as a traditional pop singer during the 1940s to 1950s, however, now he would most likely be classified as easy listening/swing. This song was originally titled “In Other Words”, however as it became more popular, its title changed to “Fly Me To The Moon”. This song was so popular that it was actually played in space during Apollo 11 and Apollo 10’s missions.  I decided to choose a Frank Sinatra song for my song share, because growing up, I have a neighbor up north (who is now in his 80’s), who would blast Frank Sinatra from his speakers on his dock, and he and his wife would dance and talk about how good music was back then. My boyfriend and I actually grew very fond of Frank Sinatra and he is the first artist I think of when I think of popular music from back in the day.
