The song I chose for this song share is called “วัดปะหล่ะ?” or “Wad Pah Lah,” and it is sung by a girl group called 4EVE from Thailand. The English translation of this song is “TEST ME,” and the main message is about trying to convince the person you like to give you a chance even though they like someone else. The girl group behind this song consists of seven singers: Mind, Jorin, Taaom, Hannah, Fai, Punch, and Aheye. I found this song on YouTube, and it was released on March 28, 2021. It is currently the group’s most-viewed song on YouTube, with over 148 million views. I chose this song because I wanted to find an example of a more modern Thai song compared to the more traditional music we typically hear in class. I also really like how the song has a catchy chorus that makes it easy to remember and a bright, upbeat feeling to it. The song starts off with an instrumental beginning, but then around 20 seconds in, the first singer joins in. Lastly, this song is also in the pop genre, and a lot of the music I tend to listen to on my own time is pop music.
