Rek Ayo Rek is a traditional song from Indonesia. It is described as a lively song often performed during celebrations. It features a catchy rhythm and is accompanied by traditional Batak drums. It is said to symbolize unity and community spirit. I chose this piece of music because it is catchy and very upbeat. This specific version sounds like a younger individual vocalist and I think that adds to the cheerful impression it gives. It sounds like something that would you would play around children so it being a celebration song makes a lot of sense.
