I chose PAHADI by Nupur Pant. This song is native to Uttarakhand a state in India. In this song there are five songs that are considered Folk music in Uttarakhand put into one. Each part of the song is a celebration of Uttarakhand’s heritage and life of the people. In the song there are many instruments to be heard, such as a Flute, some type of drum, the artists voice, bag pipes, and bells, or Tamborine. while researching I learned that there were bagpipes, traditional drums called Dhol, Damau, and Hudka. There was a flute its name is the Bansuri. I really enjoyed listening to this song. There was so much light in making this song, and the melody was very upbeat while soothing!
