I wanted to share an example of Indian music but from a different area of the industry. A long time ago I was recommended a Bollywood movie called “RRR” by one of my friends. I still haven’t gotten the chance to watch it, but I did listen to some of the songs from the movie and for this assessment I decided to go with a song called “Naacho Naacho”. The song has a very melodic approach to it, which is different from some of the examples we heard in class. I picked this song because it shows how much more the music in India can vary. This song also carries a fast-paced tempo, along with an abundance of percussion. In the scene that this song takes place in, the actors are performing a dance alongside it too.
