This is a song that I have not only heard before, but played and danced to. In High School, I was in a Norwegian Folk Dancing group through my High School. Through this group I learned and performed numerous different traditional dances and songs. When listening to the song, you can clearly tell it is created for some type of dance — the steady rhythm and repeated phrases alludes to the function. In this recording specifically, you can hear both the accordion and the flute. The song keeps a steady tempo and tempo, which also leads the listener to the musics function. The song is lively yet not too chaotic — enjoyable to listen to!
