This song is a pop song from 2013, and I vividly remember this song coming out, being a Selena Gomez fan. This song immediately came to mind for this assignment because of the intro having Bollywood influence. I can hear the tabla in the beginning, and sarod. I enjoyed this song because it isn’t your typical top 100 pop song, it has cultural influence and sounds way different than traditional American pop. It recieved some backlash when it came out because at that time this kind of music was ‘different’ or ‘weird. Personally I remember loving this song and singing it every time it came on the radio. Overall, this song was a good mix of Bollywood and American pop, making it an interesting combo and a catchy tune.
