I picked this song because we talked about Dolly Parton in class and this is my favorite song by her. It was released in 1973. The song is about a woman who might take Dolly’s man. She got the name Jolene from a fan she signed an autograph for, but the song is not about that fan Dolly just liked her name. The song is sad and angry.  This is one of Dolly Parton’s most famous songs.
