When looking for a song this week to share, I did a simple search of “Sub-Saharan African songs with guitar” and this song was one with the most views. I was immediately in awe while watching this song because of the technique used to play the guitar. The guitar player in the video makes chords along the fret from an “upside down” position as played here in the west. The music that they created was beautiful, authentic, and captivating. The overall sound of the piece is very upbeat and “happy”. I really enjoyed listening to it!
