This is another song from Civilization 6. I chose to add this song above other songs because I love Japan, and Japan’s culture. This song is based on the song “Lullaby of Itsuki” from Kumamoto. Kumamoto is in the southwest of Japan, and is known for a castle that is one of the largest and most complete castles in Japan. “Lullaby of Itsuki” is a lullaby, hence the name, that is widely known and popular. This song was sung because Itsuki was very poor and needed to send their 7-8 year old girls to serve rich people’s children in order to get money. When the girls were putting the rich families’ children to bed, they would sing about their misfortunes through this song.
