I chose the song Opus 17 (Don’t You Worry ‘Bout Me) by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. I chose this song because they are one of my favorite groups, and it is a song that I really like. The Four Seasons are an American rock and roll and doo-wop band that was formed in 1960 in Newark, New Jersey. The group sold about 100 million records from 1962 to 1978 and has had multiple songs that were top hits. I like their music because their songs are very catchy, and I really admire the uniqueness of Frankie Valli’s voice. A few of their popular hits include, Sherry, Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You, and Big Girls Don’t Cry. I really like the song Opus 17 because of the strong instrumentation. There are many instruments included in this song that really bring out the piece and I love listening below the vocals to all of the different parts, especially the trumpet and the saxophone. This song is so upbeat and definitely one of my favorites.
