I selected “Jai Sao Huaphanh” which is from Laos. I am not sure if that is the song title or the person who sings it but that is the only information given that I knew. I found this song on YouTube after a really long time of trying to find one that I knew was related to one we looked at in class. I wanted to get that conversational type of song where both are also dancing back and forth. When I cam upon this song choice, I knew I wanted to do it because it had more of a modern touch. This touch caught my eye and stuck me to this song. there are both the main two singers who are male and female, and there are background dancers. The music has a nice steady rhythm and I love the instruments as well. I definitely hear that cajun music Professor Waroff mentioned in class now. It definitely comes out very strongly in this piece of music.
