Bad Religion – “We’re Only Gonna Die” (Full Album Stream) – YouTube

The song I selected is “We’re Only Gonna Die” by Bad Religion.  This song was released back during the Los Angelous punk scene in 1982 and was recorded on the band’s very first album called How Could Hell Be Any Worse?  The lyrics were written by Greg Graffin, who is a fellow Wisconsin native from Madison, when he was only 15 years old.  The album became one of the most influential punk rock albums ever created, who influenced bands such as Rage Against the Machine, Sublime, and NOFX.  The song itself was later on covered by the ska punk band Sublime on their 1992 album 40 oz. to Freedom.  It features Greg Graffin on vocals and piano, Brett Gurewitz on guitar, Jay Bentley on bass, and Pete Finestone on drums.
