This song is from Wonderland, a Broadway music taking place in a modern setting of Alice in Wonderland. In this version of the story, Alice is an adult, and she falls down the rabbit hole after her manuscript is rejected. This song specifically takes place when the Cheshire Cat tells Alice that in order to get back home, she must first discover who she was, and rediscover the young girl that was lost inside her when her mother dies.

Specifically, I feel like this song is a more rock-and-roll-styled take on mariachi. There isn’t a lot of heavy drumming, and it feels like the guitar steals the spotlight more often than the other background instruments. There’s also a lot of trumpet and violin, alongside a drum set, but I don’t feel like it overpowers the rest of the music.
