Paulina Rubio, a singer, actress, model, and businesswoman from Mexico, started out her journey to become a musician when she was young. Her mother was a famous actress, so she was born into fame. She started out singing with a group called Timbiriche, which she ended up leaving to instead pursue becoming a solo artist. Rubio has collaborated with many other singers, such as Shakira, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, and Ricky Martin. The song that I am submitting, El Último Adiós, was written with Estéfano, who was only the songwriter on this song and not counted as a fellow musician. The music video received a lot of criticism due to its love scenes. 

I chose this song because of how it is a fusion of many different styles, like pop, Mexican ranchera, and hip-hop. In its time, it was breaking a lot of barriers of music creation.
