Bob Marley, probably the most famous musician from Jamaica, was one of the first reggae musicians who is also probably the most famous. Marley greatly influenced reggae music and helped increase its worldwide recognition. Marley later died, much too young, due to melanoma skin cancer. 

I chose the song “One Love” because it was in his first album he released with the group be first started playing with when he was about 20 years old, The Wailers. He later rerecorded it on one of his own albums. It is a very famous song that many people probably know as reggae, which is what he is famous for. I like this song because it embodies the vibe that reggae is known for having. It also has a very uplifting message of everyone working together and being happy.
