I chose to do a video of Jalikunda African drums mainly because I thought the musicians were quite talented. I also appreciate the complexities of a seemingly simple instrument. 

The performance is high energy and fast paced. The only instruments present are the drums. There are vocalizations at several points but they do not seem to be important to the music. The song is clearly not improvised as the musicians are operating in perfect conjunction with one another. 

The video takes place as a live performance at the Montserrat African Music Festival. Overall, I was impressed by the performance.
