I thought this was a very interesting example to share because it isn’t the usual setting you would see this music be played at. Throughout this chapter this music would have been played at a tiny community gathering in a village, or just with a few friends. It was interesting to see this music played in more of a concert setting on a stage.
This example is solely drums. There are a group of four guys playing the drums and they all are around similar pitch, but each guy has a unique part. One is more so keeping a steady beat while the other two play a more complex rhythm, while the final person is playing a way more complex melody and is the main focus of the concert. They would often switch parts, aside from the one drummer who was playing the steady beat, he kept relatively the same part throughout the entire performance.
