The song that I chose is ‘Run Of The Mill’ by George Harrison and I chose it because it is my favorite song.  This song was recorded in 1970 in England, and was included on Harrison’s first solo album, a triple album called All Things Must Pass.  The song opens with a guitar introduction and a softer, less dominant drumming that carries on throughout the entire sample.  What I like about the song’s musical structure is that it kind of goes up and down in complexity and volume like waves and this gives it a steady flow.  The song’s lyrics are about Harrison’s struggles with the breakup of the Beatles in 1970 and is a very powerful recording of how he feels about his new relationships with his previous bandmates.  I think this song stands out as a good example because a lot of Harrison’s music you can hear has a strong Indian or American influence, but this one feels more personal to him and his environment in England.  I found this song because I liked a few songs from All Things Must Pass so I decided to buy the album on vinyl and listen to it all the way through.  As soon as I found this song, I had a strong connection to it and it grew to be my favorite.
