Burma: Flower of Heaven song was created by Maung Su and was released in 1951. The song starts out with just one person singing with some light strumming on a string instrument in the back round. As the song progresses I begin to see the formation of a story being told as the speed of his singing increases, along with the speed of the string instrument as well. His chorus is repeated. After about a minute of just music with the string instrument, he begins singing in a slower manner to close out the song with the same chorus he started with. I thought this piece was particularly interesting due to the almost minute of no signing during the song. I haven’t heard a piece like that before and found it really unique.
