I did not exactly know where to look for this song but I just went to the very helpful YouTube and searched for south asian music and this came up. It is labeled as Indian Classical Raga so I knew that this would be a good song to listen to. After she introduces the performers she begins the performance. The reason why I chose this piece happened within the first 10 seconds of the song. The drone in the back started out but then right away the music was fast and enticing. It got me to move my legs while sitting and listening. I was doing a little dance in my chair. The first string instrument dies down but then it goes into the next stringed instrument, the violin, and I was moving even more. I just genuinely enjoyed listening to the piece. There is one set of drums playing more of a subtle back beat throughout most of the piece. they even actually included a little drum solo towards the end of the song which was really cool to hear. I liked the song because every part really got its own solo to shine and show what that instrument can really do. Overall I just loved the movement and emotion this song was bringing out to the players and the listeners.
