I found this song on the Smithsonian Folkways website included on an album of folk songs from all over the world. This song is specifically from India and it sounds similar to some of the songs that my dad would play for me while growing up. However, unlike the songs my dad would play, when researching the lyrics I found that this song is actually talking about praising Lord Ram(a). I also noticed how in this recording you can hear a call and response from the audience as the goal of this musical group was to provide easy access to the music as well as encourage others to join. While the link only lets you listen to a portion of the song, there are other recordings from various groups on the internet each with their own twist.
