NAMI NAMI is an Arabic Lullaby composed by Marcel Khalife.  I found this recording on YouTube of this live performance by Azam Ali from her solo album “From Night to the Edge of Day.”  I chose this particular rendition because it was a live performance that showcased the instruments being played as well as the vocalist.  The instruments being played are the; setar, lafta, cello, and percussion instruments like drums and tambourine.  I think what is so mesmerizing about this song is the blending of the vocals and the instruments.  It almost seems like the vocals and instrument have the same rich, warm color, in their tone which makes them pleasing to listen to.
