I chose a Japanese wedding songs called “Kokoro No Mama Ni” by Takaoka Yoko. It seems to be somewhat westernized, which may explain my incline to it. There is harmony and a woman sings with smooth singing, with background sounds may be something made from technology or westernized instruments. Not the classic instruments from the folk music we listened to previously in class. But I liked listening to maybe the songs that are popular among the youth and what they choose to dance to at the wedding. We all have our songs we can’t wait to slow dance to at weddings with loved ones and this is one of the songs that I feel is exciting and maybe one that is still sung and danced too.
